A. Enhancements
==================

1. AT-x900 and AT-SBx908: It takes a very long time for Device 
   Manager to connect to an AT-x900 or an AT-SBx908 device, especially
   when the device is in a stacked configuration and one or more 
   Expansion Modules are installed.


B. Service Pack Installation
============================

AlliedView-EMS 4.0 must already be installed before an attempt
is made to apply the service pack.

Windows
-------
1. Disable the "Read-only" attribute of the entire AlliedView-EMS
   folder.  If you installed AlliedView-EMS using the default
   directory, the AlliedView-EMS folder will be located in C:\Program
   Files\Allied Telesis.
      * Using Windows Explorer, right click on the AlliedView-EMS
        folder and select "Properties". 
      * Uncheck the "Read-only" attribute. 
      * Click on the "OK" button.
2. Run EMS4001.exe by double clicking the file.
3. Extract the files from the archive to the folder where you
   installed AlliedView-EMS (e.g. C:\Program Files\Allied Telesis).


Solaris
-------
1. Make sure your are logged in using an account that has root
   privileges.
2. Copy the EMS4001S.tar file to the directory where you installed 
   AlliedView-EMS.  If you installed AlliedView-EMS using the default 
   directory, the AlliedView-EMS folder will be located in
   opt/AlliedTelesis.
3. Extract the files from the archive using the tar command:

   tar -xvf EMS4001S.tar


HP-UX
-----
1. Make sure your are logged in using an account that has root
   privileges.
2. Copy the EMS4001H.tar file to the directory where you installed
   AlliedView-EMS.  If you installed AlliedView-EMS using the default 
   directory, the AlliedView-EMS folder will be located in
   /opt/AlliedTelesis.
3. Extract the files from the archive using the tar command:

   tar -xvf EMS4001H.tar
