Notes ======== INSTALLER --------- * If only the documentation for AT-View Plus or AlliedView-EMS is installed, the AlliedView-UM installer won't be able to detect the location of the AT-View Plus/AlliedView-EMS Documentation program folder. This will cause the the installer to create its own program folder outside of the AT-View Plus/AlliedView-EMS program folder. (Windows only) * If the installation process is aborted while the installer is still copying files to a target directory, a JVM error will occur if the application is reinstalled. To avoid this, manually delete the AlliedView-UM folder and files that were created by the installer when it was aborted. After deleting the files, the application can be safely re-installed. (Windows only) * On non-English OS platforms, the AlliedView-UM installer may not display the list of existing folders on the "Select Program Folder" wizard page. (Windows only) UNINSTALLER ----------- * Please make sure that the AlliedView-UM application is not running before performing the uninstallation. Although it is possible to successfully uninstall the application even if AlliedView-UM is still running, doing so will force the application to shutdown abruptly. If AlliedView-UM is performing any operation at that time, it may leave the affected devices in an unstable state. APPLICATION ----------- * AlliedView-UM v1.6 cannot load Release Upgrade, Interim Release Upgrade, and Patch Upgrade profile files generated by AT-Upgrade Manager Manager v1.1 and v1.0. * Most operations performed by AlliedView-UM include steps that may cause the device to reboot or to temporarily stop functioning. During this phase of the operation, network access to the affected devices may be lost until after the operation has been completed. When performing upgrades on devices within your network, please check your network connections. If your selected devices list includes one or more devices that act as gateway nodes, then most likely the upgrade operations for other devices will fail. If the gateway devices are rebooted, then AlliedView-UM's link to the other devices connected to the rebooting gateway will be lost. AlliedView-UM would then indicate that the operations for those devices have failed. * You cannot click on the OK button of a message box (e.g. error message) displayed on top of a modal dialog box (e.g. File Open). To close the message box, press or on the keyboard. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- AlliedView-UM is a product of Allied Telesis K.K.
