November 2007 AlliedView-UM v1.7 SP1 This file contains important information about AlliedView-UM SP1. The topics discussed in this file are summarized in the Contents section. Contents ======== A. Resolved Issue B. Service Pack Installation A. Resolved Issue ================= AlliedView-UM 1.7 SP1 resolves an issue relating to the device detection routines for non-AlliedWare devices. Non-AlliedWare devices could not be added or detected if an SNMP read community was not supplied. Furthermore, AlliedView-UM could not add non-AlliedWare devices if the SNMP read community was a value other than "public". (JIRA Key: ATPE-128) With this Service Pack, AlliedView-UM will no longer use SNMP in its device detection routines for non-AlliedWare devices. The SNMP Read Community, Timeout and Retries fields will be ignored for non-AlliedWare devices. B.
