AT-TFTP Server is a free Windows-based TFTP server for transferring software releases, patches, scripts and other files between a PC and Allied Telesyn routers and some switches. A single PC can be used as a central repository of releases, patches, configuration scripts, trigger scripts and other data files for all the ATI routers and L3 switches in an entire network.
Files are transferred using TFTP (Trivial File Transfer Protocol), a simplified version of the more common FTP.
File transfers are initiated from the router or switch, using the command: LOAD FILE=filename SERVER=ipadd DEST=flash
AT-TFTP Server can be configured to restrict access to particular directories on the PC, and to limit access to read-only, or read and write.
Release file: AT-TFTPD Server 1.9 (425 KB)
- Download the AT-TFTP installation file (above). Note the location you have saved the file to.
- For Windows 95 or better, choose Run from the Start Menu, and click Browse to locate the AT-TFTP Server installer AT-TFTPD.EXE that you saved previously.
- Follow the instructions on your screen.
Note: Installation requires approximately 1MB of disk space.
- From the Start Menu select Programs > Allied Telesyn AT-TFTP Server version number > AT-TFTP Server version number.
- Once AT-TFTP Server has started select Options from the File menu to display the Set Preferences dialog box.
- The "Default file transfer directory" specifies the directory that AT-TFTP Server will read from or write to, for file requests that do not include a directory specification.
- To prevent unauthorised access to private directories, enter a path name in the "Restrict to directory" field. The AT-TFTP Server will only use the specified directory, even if file requests explicitly reference other directories.
- For added security, selecting the "Read only" option ensures that files can be read from the PC but not written to the PC. If you wish to use the PC to archive scripts created using the SAVE CONFIG command, you must enable the "Read Write" option.
- Make any required changes and click OK.
- Intel Pentium® or AMD Athlon® or better based PC
