Prior to driver installation, make sure the target operating system ( NT 4.0, or Windows95/98 ) is correctly installed and running. If the HEIDI driver for AutoDesk 3DStudio MAX is to be installed, make sure that MAX is installed and running before installing the HEIDI driver. Heidi is not supported under Win 95/98. 2. Installation =============== The installation procedures described below refer to installation from the executable driver. Prior to beginning any of the below instructions please make sure that the card is installed in your system, and that it is set up to the Standard VGA/VGA Compatible driver, and that upon rebooting into VGA mode, that you hit the Ctrl, Alt, and Delete (Ctrl-Alt-Del) Keys together ONCE. The Close Program Box will come up. Make sure to ENDTASK all listed items EXCEPT for Explorer and Systray (if available). If one item seems to reboot the system, either remove it from the startup group, or leave it, moving to the next one after the reboot. This is standard procedure for installing new programs and/or drivers in Windows based systems. You need to hit Ctrl-Alt-Del again after each shut down to bring the Close Box back. If an item stays there, repeated ENDTASKS should cause it to put up an error saying it is not responding. Choose to END TASK once again.
