This driver installation will install Adaptec's CD-Recordable driver for Windows 95. Adaptec's CD-Recordable driver allows Type 4 (e.g. Yamaha CDR 100, Philips 522, etc.) to be used as a standard CD-ROM drive under Windows 95. ====================================== 1. How to run the Installation Program ====================================== After decompressing the files onto your hard drive, you can start the installation program by running CDR4.EXE. ===================================================== 2.) AHA-2940/3940 and Adaptec's CD-Recordable Driver ===================================================== On some Type 4 CD-Recordable drives, when used with an Adaptec AHA-2940/3940, you may see 8 drive letters appear after installing this driver. If you encounter this, you will need to upgrade to v1.22, or later, of the AHA-2940 miniport (AIC78XX.MPD). Download the file WIN95MPD.EXE and follow the instructions on how to upgrade your miniport driver. Troubleshooting =================== If the installation is not successful, please check the following: 1.) Make sure there are no other SCSI applications resident. If there are, please exit all running applications and try the installation again. 2.) If the installation indicates that you do not have any version of Adaptec Easy-CD Pro for Windows 95 installed on your system. Please make sure that you have the Adaptec Easy-CD Pro for Windows 95 installed. This installation program is not intended for Adaptec Easy-CD Lite.
