[Precautions]
Be sure to observe the following precautions before running the "CdRmUpdt.exe" program:
- Be sure to extract and execute the program on your hard disk.
- Do not change the name of the file or its contents.
- Be sure to read the included "Readmee.txt" file.
- Never turn off the computer or the drive when the "CdRmUpdt" program is running.
- Be sure to quit all other programs, before running "CDRmUpdt" program.
- Be sure to remove any disk loaded in the CD-ROM drive.
- After the CD-516E, CD-524E or CD-532E firmware has been updated,
Windows 95 may become unstable.
In this case, reboot the computer to restart Windows 95.
[TEAC5324.exe Program]
- This is an expansion utility exclusively for use with TEAC CD-ROM drives
(CD-532E, CD-532EA, CD-532S and CD-524EA). It has the following features:
- 1. Select drive speed
- 2. Select the time until spin-down
- 3. Enable open/close of tray under windows
[How to Setup "TEAC5324.exe"]
When the self-extracting file (ALPKG004E.EXE or SPCHG200E.EXE) is extracted, the folder "T5324V200E" is created.
Open the folder and launch "SETUP.EXE" to run setup.
After setup is completed, click Start, then select "Programs", "TEAC","CD-ROM Expansion Utility", and launch
"CD-ROM Expansion Utility".
