************************************************************ * Install MA-600 Device Driver under Windows 2000 * ************************************************************ (1) Copy the MA-600.inf and MA-600.sys into the disk (defaut at C:\MA600DRV) (2) Go to Control Panel, select Add/Remove Hardware. The Add/Remove Hardware Wizard will appear. Click Next. (3) Select Add/Troubleshoot a device, click Next. (4) After the hardware detection process, select Add a new device, click Next. (5) Select No, I want to select the hardware from a list, click Next. (6) Select Infrared devices for the type of hardware you want to install, click Next. (7) When the Select Infrared Device appear, click Have Disk.. (8) Choose the MA-600.inf in the directory created at above. (default at C:\MA600DRV) Continue to choose Mobile Action MA-600 Serial Infrared Device and click Next. (9) Select the proper physical connection (COM1 or COM2) and click Next. This port selection must correspond to the actual MA-600 physical connection. (10) Click Finish to complete the installation. (11) Go to Control Panel, click System. Select the Device Manager under Hardware page to check if Infrared devices is present and click it to check if Mobile Action MA-600 Serial Infrared Device is present. (12) Double click the Mobile Action MA-600 Serial Infrared Device, when Mobile Action MA-600 Serial Infrared Device Properties appear, select IrDA Settings page and set the Maximum Connection Rate to be 38400, click OK. Note: Please note that there will be no MA-600 adapter appeared in the Network adapter category and no virtual COM port and LPT port after driver is installed. ************************************************************ * Uninstall MA-600 Device Driver under Windows 2000 * ************************************************************ Go to Control Panel, click System. Select the Device Manager under Hardware page. Click Infrared devices and select Mobile Action MA-600 Serial Infrared Device. Click Uninstall icon to uninstall the MA-600 device driver.
