          The WorldPort 2496 V.42bis is a combination 9600 bps 
          Group III fax and a full featured 2400 V.42bis data modem.
          The WorldPort 2496 V.42bis is a completely portable
          communication center. It combines two important business
          features into one small package. And with the addition of 
          V.42/MNP 2-4 error control and V.42bis/MNP 5 data compression
          the WorldPort 2496 V.42bis provides error-free data
          throughput up to 9600 bps in addition to the 9600 bps fax.

          The WorldPort 2496 v.42bis fax capabilities provide
          individual and group broadcasts for immediate or delayed 
          transmissions. The WorlPort 2496 V.42bis supports both
          foreground and background operation. In background mode,
          fax and data calls are automatically stored on disk or a 
          bulletin board system respectively for later retrieval.
          This background operation allows uninterrupted work in
          other applications such as a word processing or spreadsheet.

          The WorldPort 2496 V.42bis will send/receive faxes and data
          transmissions even when the user is not present. The WorldPort
          2496 V.42bis supports a cover sheet option that allows the
          customization of a front sheet for faxes, which can include
          recipient name, sender name, comments and even graphic 
          characters.

            Full featured modem with V.42 and V.42bis capabilities
            with throughput of up to 9600 bps.

          * 9600 Send and Receive Fax

            Combines two desired features into one small package. It
            saves user's time by eliminating steps in the fax process.
            Allows sending and receiving of faxes when standalone fax 
            is not available. Allows scheduled sending of unattended
            fax transmissions.

          * Express Send

            Provides message writing capabilities within the fax 
            software. It automatically converts the message to fax format
            and sends it.

          * Batch File Send

            Sends faxes and data transmissions to each member within
            a group listing, minimizing user transaction time. 
            Especially beneficial for routine transmissions to a standard
            group.
