Bitcom v1.05D for Windows:
DIP Switches 3, 5, and 8 DOWN(ON) 

CHANGE PORT:  Pull down the "Settings" menu and select the "System" 
              option.  The COM port selector is in the bottom right 
              hand corner of the screen.

CHANGE IRQ:  Controlled in the Windows Control Panel.

INIT STRING:  This is integrated into the dial prefix string and can be 
              found on the same screen as the CHANGE PORT option. The 
              dial prefix should be as follows: 
              AT&F&B1&H1&R2&A3&K3X4DT

TERMINAL MODE:  Pull down the "Action" menu and select "CONNECT".

Note:  Make sure that the option "Auto Baud Rate Detect" is disabled. 
       This can be found when you pull down the "Settings" menu and 
       select the "System" option.

BitFax v2.11A/v2.12 for Windows:
DIP Switches 3, 5, and 8 DOWN(ON) 

All settings are changed through the "Setup" icon when you start up 
Bitfax.

CHANGE PORT:  Select the "Transmit" icon from the Setup dialog box. The 
              port selection area is on the left side of the screen.

CHANGE IRQ:  Controlled in the Windows Control Panel.

INIT STRING:  You can set the init string for both transmit and receive. 
              The init strings can be found in a file called BITFAX.INI 
              under both the [TRANSMIT] and [RECEIVE] headers. It will 
              show up in the format of "InitializeModem=AT&F" on a 
              separate line. Change the init string to: 
              AT&F&H3&R2&I2S7=90S36=0 for both transmit and receive.

TERMINAL MODE:  None, this is a fax only program.

Note:  With earlier versions of Bitfax, such as v2.08 and v2.09, you 
       will get various errors. The most common error you may see is 
       "Waiting for DIS..." and "End of Transmission".  You should 
       update to v2.11A or v2.12.
