LapLink V for DOS:
DIP Switches 3, 5, and 8 DOWN(ON) 

Start LapLink and type "Alt-O" for Options. Select "Port/Modem" setup 
and then set the COM Port you would like to modify.

CHANGE PORT:  Hit "Alt-A", then change the COM Port and Address to that 
              of your modem.

CHANGE IRQ:  Hit "Alt-I" and use the radio buttons to change the settings 
             to match that of your modem.

INIT STRING:  Hit "Alt-S" for "Setup Modem", and then "Alt-I" to change 
              the initialization string.
              Note:  Do not place the "AT" command before the init string. 
                     You should only lists modem parameters such as 
                     "Q0X3&B1&C1&D2&H1&R2". The program adds the AT 
                     later.

TERMINAL MODE:  Not available.

TSOnline v1.0 for Windows:

Dialing Directory Settings:
All changes are made in the dialing directory where the program first 
starts.

CHANGE PORT:  The port setting is changed in the dialing directory. 
              Settings are changed individually in each Profile Entry.

CHANGE IRQ:  This program uses the settings in the Windows Control Panel.

INIT STRING:  The init string can not be changed.

TERMINAL MODE:  The program begins in the dialing directory. To enter 
                terminal mode, exit the dialing directory.

Terminal Mode Settings:
All options are found by pulling down the "Settings" menu.

CHANGE PORT:  Select "Communications" from the "Settings" menu. Go to 
              the "Connector" selection(similar to Windows' Terminal), 
              and set the port as needed.

CHANGE IRQ:  This program uses the settings in the Windows Control Panel.

INIT STRING:  Select "Modem" from the "Settings" menu. Then click 
              "Settings" on the right hand side of the dialog box. The 
              init string is automatically configured to: 
              ^M~ATB0&B1&H1&R2Q0V1X6E1S0=0^M. If you own a Sportster that 
              only supports up to X4(check your manual), change "X6".to 
              "X4" in the init string.

TERMINAL MODE:  To enter terminal mode, exit out of the dialing 
                directory.

Note:  The modems listed during installation are: Courier v.32, Courier 
       Dual Standard, Sportster 2400 and Sportster 9600. Choose the 
       modem closest to yours.
