To add new modems: 1. Run the "BBS" batch file. 2. Wait until the wait for caller screen appears. 3. Select option #1 "Hardware Configuration". 4. From this menu(it takes a few moments to show up), go over the options for each port, located under "groups". Note: This document describes how to set up one modem. To set up multiple modems on the same system, or if you are using a special multiplexed modem box, such as a DigiBoard, please consult both the DigiBoard documentation as well as the MajorBBS System. After you run BBS.BAT, select "Hardware Configuration". Use the arrow keys to scroll down the list of options. Below are the options pertinent to our modem: I/O Base Address: 3F8 Max Baud Rate: 19200 {Or 38400 if you are operating a v.FC or faster modem } Lock Port: Yes Multiport Hardware: No Initialization String: AT&FE0S0=0S2=255Q0V1X1&B1&H1&R2&T5&A0 Note: The modem list consists of the Sportster 9600, Sportster 14400, Courier HST, and Courier HST Dual Standard. If you have a v.FC or later modem, choose the Sportster 14400 or Courier HST Dual Standard, and make sure that you set your baud rates to 38400.
