Manufacturer/Support MicroWerks, Inc. P.O. Box 768273 Roswell, GA. 30076-8273 404-410-9358 - Support BBS 72510,1766 - CompuServe Microlink v1.05 for Windows: DIP Switches: 3, 5, and 8 DOWN (ON) CHANGE PORT: Pull down the "Settings" menu, and select "Port". From this screen you can change the port settings, baud rate, flow control, and line settings. There is also a checkbox marked "Locked Baud Rate". Make sure this is checked. CHANGE IRQ: This program uses the settings in the Windows Control Panel. INIT STRING: Pull down the "Settings" menu and select "Modem". Note: Do not place an "AT" in front of the init string. This is incorporated into the dial prefix instead of sending it as a separate command. Set the initialization string to the following: &F&B1&H1&R2&A3&K3X4S11=40. Note: Here is an example of how the program dials out, which explains the reason for leaving out the "AT" at the start of the init string. If you were to specify an init string of "&F&B1&H1&R2&A3&K3X4S11=40", the software would dial AT&F&B1&H1&R2&A3&K3X4S11=40DT {number} TERMINAL MODE: The program begins in terminal mode. Notes: Select U.S. Robotics from the modem list during installation. There are no specific models listed, just company names. Make sure you have the port speed set to 19200 for our 14.4k modems, and 38400 if you are operating a v.FC or later model. Also make sure you are using Hardware Flow Control, and that the Lock Baud Rate box is checked in the Settings->Port dialog box.
