RBBS v17.4 for DOS Dip Switches: 3,5 and 8 DOWN (ON) RBBS requires the use of a FOSSIL driver if you want to use higher connection speeds. The FOSSIL driver we tested with the software is called BNU(see document number 10231). CHANGE PORT: Run CONFIG.EXE in the RBBS directory. Once the main menu is loaded, press shift-F2. Next type 221 and select the COM Port your modem is on. Answer YES to the next question on whether to use a FOSSIL driver. Then type 228 and set the port rate to 38400. If you choose not to use a fossil driver, the highest you can set the port rate to is 19200(connections at higher speeds will fail). INIT STRING: Press Shift-F2 and select 225. Next press 0. Go down the modem list and select the modem closest to yours. You will then need to make a couple of changes as follows: * Selection 7(Initialize modem's firmware) should be changed to AT&C1&D3B0S0=0. * Line 2(Initialize the modem) should be changed to ATE0M0Q0V1X0S0=0S2=255S10=30. TERMINAL MODE: None, this is a BBS program.
