If Windows 95 did not correctly, identify your modem, continue with #2. 2. Although Windows 95 is much more robust at detecting IRQ conflicts, it appears to be much less forgiving when hardware devices are not configured properly . Make sure the modem is set on it's own COM Port & IRQ. 3. Go into the Control Panel(Start/Settings/Control Panel). 4. Select Add New Hardware. 5. Select Modems. 6. Pick the model modem you have(or the closest to it ). Note: As new products become available, we create configuration files for use under Windows 95. These are not always available on the same day as the product is released, so periodically check our file sections for updates. If you download one of these updates, place it in the Windows\inf directory. This will need to be done via the DOS prompt on most systems since the .\INF directory is typically marked "hidden". At the C: prompt, type CD\WINDOWS\INF and hit enter. Then type, for example, COPY MDMUSRVI.INF and hit enter (use the appropriate INF file name after COPY) and hit enter.
