Dinc Release Notes R1.001 This utility is a cu-like or tip-like Unix connectivity tool that is extremely simple to use and requires no setup files. Line settings and modem signals can be changed actively while online. It's focus is not to replace those other tools, but to provide something very simple and immediately usable on a serial port without requiring a bunch of setup or installation. It does implement standard port locking protocols so that it can be used in a multiuser environment in conjunction with cu, tip, uucp, and friends. Dinc also directly supports baud rates higher than 38400 on Digi International (formerly Central Data) hardware. Other manufacturers are invited to provide support as well. The official release version of Dinc will be maintained and supported by me (Dennis Cronin). Contact me if you make changes or additions you think might be generally beneficial. This release currently supports SunOS 4.1.x and Solaris 2.x operating systems. It has been ported to a number of other Unix platforms but I'm not quite ready to provide a release for all of them yet.
