No Columbus World Application can be started
Problem
When starting ANY Columbus World application,
an error message comes up, saying that a module could not be
started.
Reasons
- The card driver is not installed correctly.
- There is an interrupt conflict.
- There is an I/O conflict.
Solution
- Start the SETUP from the CD-Rom from the sub-directory
/CARDS once more.
- Reserve the interrupt, which you have set for the card in
the BIOS for the ISA-Bus, or deny access for the
PCI-system to avoid conflicts with the PCI-Bus-Master.
Such a conflict can not be recognized by the hardware
manager of Windows95, and so especially for passive
cards, the reservation of the interrupt is necessary.
CAUTION ! Settings in the BIOS are valid for the entire
system and in the worst case can prevent the system from
booting. Therefore, you should only make changes yourself,
if you are accustomed to it!
- Change the address for the I/O-range of the ISDN-card,
because there are graphic chips, that show the wrong
I/O-address range.
