Description

This patch updates the regtool application along with the ConfigOS driver. It addresses issues related to assigning IP gateway and DNS settings using the regtool application.

Special Instructions

Please follow the steps below to install the patch on your installation drive:
 
1) Extract zip to a folder
 
2) Switch to "[myplatform]\SRC\DRIVERS\ConfigOS" in your extraction folder 
 
 Replace "[myplatform]" with the subdirectory based on the target platform you are
 developing on:
 
 - ConnectCore 9C/Wi-9C: "ccx9c"
 - ConnectCore 9P 9360: "cc9p" 
 
3) Copy the file "wip2reg.c" to "\WINCE600\PLATFORM\[myplatform]\SRC\DRIVERS\ConfigOS"
 
 This updates the ConfigOS driver.
 
4) Go to the subdirectory "regtool" in your extraction folder
 
5) Copy the files "GetReg.cpp" and "regtool.cpp" to "\Program Files\Digi\Digi JumpStart for Windows Embedded CE 6.0\Apps\Source Code\regtool"
 
6) Import the new regtool as a subproject in Visual Studio 2005 for your solution (created BSP). For an example on how this is done, please see the Windows CE 6.0 Users Guide.
 
7) Build the subproject via "Build -> Build All Subprojects" in Visual Studio 2005
 
8) Rebuild the ConfigOS driver
 
 Go to "\WINCE600\PLATFORM\[myplatform]\SRC\DRIVERS\ConfigOS"
 
9) Select "Build -> Make Runtime Image" in Visual Studio 2005
 
 Your new image will be created and is ready for deployment.
