How do you configure the ISA Classic board for Digi emulation mode? How do you configure the ISA Classic board for Digi emulation mode?

  • Run the Classic CFG utility from a clean DOS boot
  • Select F3 to Edit New Profile
  • Select "No" for PnP Mode
  • Select "Digi" for Control Register Int Mode. Once this is complete, select a unique I/O value and IRQ for the Control Register, and a unique I/O address for each port on the board. For most systems, it is recommended that you avoid I/O addresses in the 100 range.

    A sample configuration for a Classic 8 would be:

    Control Register Int mode: Digi I/O: 260 IRQ: 5 Port I/O Addresses: 220, 228, 230, 238, 240, 248, 250, 258

    Once you have made your selections, complete the configuration by following these steps:

  • Select F5 to Write New Profile to Board
  • Select F6 to Write New Profile to Disk
  • Select and name the profile you created
  • Select F10 to Exit
