Novell NetWare 4.10 Crashes with a HEX-Dump
Novell NetWare 4.10 Crashes with a HEX-Dump Novell NetWare 4.10 Crashes with a HEX-Dump

Problem:

The Novell NetWare 4.10 system crashes with a HEX-Dump. How can one find out, which modules are involved?

Solution
:

  1. Enter

    386DEBUG

    in the HEX-Dump screen.

  2. Now a new screen appears, in which you enter

    ?

    followed by pressing [ENTER].

  3. Now you see a list, in which the modules, which have been executed last, are displayed.

  4. Read out the sequence of the stacks by entering the command

    SW

Here you see further modules displayed, which point to an application or a hardware.

  5. If you now still need the process in which the computer has crashed, press

    V

Now you can switch through all the different screens with the [Enter] key.

On the system console you can see the 'Running Process'.
