After installing the Windows NT driver for the Classic board, the event viewer error message "Interrupt Status Register at I/O address xxx is invalid" appears. After installing the Windows NT driver for the Classic board, the event viewer error message "Interrupt Status Register at I/O address xxx is invalid" appears. This error could be caused by one of several factors:
The Interrupt Status Register (or Control Register) address you have selected is in conflict with another device. Check WIN MSD for a better I/O address selection
and rerun the Classic CFG utility to change the Control Register address. Be sure to also change the Interrupt Status Register address in the Windows NT driver configuration to match the new address you have selected in the CFG utility for the board.
One of the I/O addresses for one of the Classic ports you have selected is in conflict with another device. Check WIN MSD for a better I/O address range for the ports and rerun the Classic CFG utility to change the range of addresses for the Classic ports. Be sure to also change the port addresses in the Windows NT driver configuration to match the new range of addresses you have selected in the CFG utility for the board.
If you have a Classic 16 board verify that the ports module is connected to the host adapter card. If it is not, be sure that you power down the system before connecting or disconnecting the ports module.
