How do I install the Acceleport USB drivers on MacOS 8.x? How do I install the Acceleport USB drivers on MacOS 8.x?

Our driver distribution format is as an Aladdin System Stuffit archive, version 5.0.1. A free expander may be obtained from the Aladdin Systems web site at www.aladdinsys.com.

Installation Notes: Before attempting to install the AccelePort USB MacOS driver, disable the Open Transport Serial Arbitrator extension in the Extensions Manager.

Installation:

If you have not already powered the Mac off, do so. Disconnect any Digi device from the USB bus.

Boot the machine.

Drag these files into the Extensions Folder (under Macintosh HD, System Folder.):

AccelePort¨ USB 2
AccelePort¨ USB 8
SerialShimLib

Plug any Digi devices (back) into the USB bus.
