The Acceleport USB fails under Windows 95 but works ok under Windows 98! The Acceleport USB fails under Windows 95 but works ok under Windows 98! In short, if you're using USB, you should be doing it under Windows 98. However, if you can't upgrade to Windows 98 for some reason, then one thing you can do is at least verify you have the latest usbd.sys driver from Microsoft. Hopefully it will help if you don't and you update. Otherwise, Microsoft knows the USB implementation in 95 is not the greatest and will not be improved upon. Their solution is to update to 98.
If you are using Windows '95 OSR2.1 with our products, it is strongly recommended that you use version 4.03.1214 or later of the Microsoft USBD.SYS file (in the system directory). To find out which version you currently have installed, Right click on the file, select "Properties..." from the pop-up menu, and then select the "Version" tag. If the version indicated is 4.03.1214, you have the latest version as of this writing. Version 4.03.1212 was very buggy and should be avoided.
