Suspend mode problem on USB 2+/4 products designed prior to June 1999.
Suspend mode problem on USB 2+/4 products designed prior to June 1999. Suspend mode problem on USB 2+/4 products designed prior to June 1999.

There is a problem with the line drivers used in these USB models. If you have a problem with a peripheral as a result of using suspend mode while the peripheral is connected to our USB device, you may have to simply disable suspend mode on the system to avoid the problem. The technical details are that, when the ADM3311 suspends, the line drivers go to a 3.3 volt level. This makes the peripheral see a constant break condition. When the USB awakes the peripheral doesn't see a start bit which may cause an error condition with the peripheral. One such peripheral was a sewing machine. In this case, the solution was to boot/reboot the system without the peripheral being connected. The customer also had to disable suspend mode on their system.
