1. Physically install the adapter in the machine.
Power it on, and let Windows 2000/XP load. As you're logging in as
Administrator you should see this dialog.

2. Windows should automatically find the driver and
bring up the driver configuration dialog. This is where you can change the
port names to fit your needs (COM5-COMX, etc.).
NOTE: Please stay within the
normal COMX naming convention.

3. Choose Next. You will see the following dialog as
Windows finishes the installation.

4. After all dialogs have closed, you should see the new
Digi adapter listed in Device Manger, MultiPort Serial Adapters..
5. If the adapter name is NOT preceded by a yellow circle
with an "!" in it, the adapter should be installed successfully.
If you do have a yellow circle with a "!" in
it, see what the error code is and check event viewer for errors.
NOTE: With PCI adapters the first thing you will want to
make sure of in troubleshooting is that you are running the latest BIOS flash
available for that machine and reserve a unique IRQ for the slot the Digi
adapter is in. If you have other adapters sharing the same IRQ, this maybe
the problem.
