Problem:

How do you verify the configuration of the Digi ISDN adapter under DOS with drivers up to V3.01?

Solution:

The configuration can be verified with the command:

LOAD RDEEPROM

After IXCAPI has been loaded, the system displays the following screen:

Read the configuration parameters from the ix1 EEPROM Manufacturer: ITK - CAPI+ V1.1 (ix1-basic V3.1)

You find the version number of the drivers in brackets.

Version: Version 1.1, Profil A
CAPI serial number: 503-020
---------- EEPROM contents of ix1 adapter No. 1 ------------
Last date written: 96-03-08-20:12
Serialnumber: 409503-020
coding law: a-law
Adaptertyp: ix1-basic ISA-UP0 4MB, Version:1.2

From the entry Adaptertyp: you will be able to see:

  • which card type you are using.
  • whether you have an UP0 or a S0 interface.
  • how much memory the card has.
  • which hardware version you have.

Service-Interface: present

NOTE: If the service interface is displayed as "present" , it is possible to proceed a hardware debug.

Line Interface: point to multipoint, TEI=AUTO
D-Channel protocol: DSS-1, Euro-ISDN/NET3, ETSI

NOTE: This will display which protocols are being used.

Fax/Modem hardware: 2 fax/modem channels present

NOTE: Any fax/modem modules are displayed here.
