When I run UD-PCI.exe (or UD-RISC.exe or UD-CISC.exe) in a DOS session or at a command prompt under Windows NT or 2000, I receive a message "BIOS is NOT present, UD-PCI.EXE (or UD-RISC.exe or UD-CISC.exe), cannot be executed. Returning to DOS."

Windows NT and Windows 2000 do not allow the UD-PCI.exe utility direct access to the adapter. Therefore, if the utility is run at a command prompt (or in a DOS Window) under Windows NT or Windows 2000, the error message that the BIOS is not present is displayed.
The diagnostic utility must be run after booting from a clean DOS boot disk (no memory manager can be running). The boot disk can be a DOS 6.22 boot disk or a boot disk made with Windows 95 or 98. A freeware version of a DOS boot disk may be found on several internet sites.
