Digi Asynchronous board won't install on COM1 in Windows 2000
Digi Asynchronous board won't install on COM1 in Windows 2000 Digi Asynchronous board won't install on COM1 in Windows 2000

Symptom:

I want my Digi COM ports to start on COM1, but the adapter won't install correctly.

Cause:

  • The native COM ports have been disabled in the BIOS prior to the installation of the Digi board.

Solutions:

  • At least one COM port must be enabled for the Async driver to install properly. Then you can disable the port in the BIOS and rename the Digi COM ports as you like.
