Using Citrix Metaframe 1.8 Service Pack 1 with Digi products in Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server.
Using Citrix Metaframe 1.8 Service Pack 1 with Digi products in Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server. Using Citrix Metaframe 1.8 Service Pack 1 with Digi products in Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server.

Symptom:

When attempting to configure various adapters under Citrix, com3-9 already show up in Windows NT 4.0 Terminal Server.

Cause:

Com ports through 9 are added automatically by Metaframe Service Pack 1.

Solutions:

This is a known issue. Citix has information on their web site in document ID CTX931125. After installing Service Pack 1 for Metaframe 1.8, com3-9 are added by default. The Hotfix is a registry hack and the instructions can be found on Citrix's web site. The hotfix document is MX182W012. You will want to make sure in following this document that you have created a folder called parameters under CdmService and use a value of 2 for DefaultComPorts
