Testing Digi AccelePort Adapter ports or modems in Novell Netware
Testing Digi AccelePort Adapter ports or modems in Novell Netware Testing Digi AccelePort Adapter ports or modems in Novell Netware

Symptom:

Unable to communicate through the Digi AccelePort board in a Novell Netware Server.

Cause:

The driver may not have loaded properly or may have a potential conflict.

Solution:

To verify that everything is configured properly:

1. Verify when you load the driver that it reports "X channels initialized successfully."
Note: X is the number of ports on your adapter.  For example, if you have an 8 port board, it should say 8 channels initialized successfully.

2. Go into terminal mode, either through NIAS or AIOTERM and see if you are able to access the port.

If you have a modem on the port, you should be able to type AT and get an OK back from the modem.

If you do not have a modem on the port, plug the loopback into the port and you should be able to type on the keyboard and see it display
on the screen.  If you do, the Digi AccelePort is installed and working properly.
