Setting virtual IRQs with the Windows 95/98/ME Asynchronous device driver. Setting virtual IRQs with the Windows 95/98/ME Asynchronous device driver.
How do I set a virtual IRQ and/or I/O address within the Windows 95/98/ME Asynchronous device driver?
- There is no virtual UART support within the Windows 95/98 device driver.
- If you have an older application which requires individual IO addresses and IRQs, the ClassicBoard ISA installed with Microsoft's COM driver provides your best chance of getting the application to function with additional serial ports. NOTE: Digi does not directly support this. The information is provided as courtesey for customers who cannot obtain updated versions of their applications. See the associated links for additional information.
