No option to install an Xem module on EPC/CON concentrator. No option to install an Xem module on EPC/CON concentrator.
Symptom: Why can't I get to the option to add Xem modules to my EPC/CON concentrator? When I select the EPC/CON in the adapter properties sheet, the Add button is greyed out.
Cause:
Check to make sure that the host adapter you have installed is an EPC/X rather than a C/X. While you can use an EPC/CON concentrator on a C/X card, the C/X does not support the use of Xem modules off of the EPC/CON concentrator.
Solutions:
To be able to daisy-chain Xem modules off of an EPC/CON concentrator, the host adapter must be an EPC/X rather than a C/X.
