The adapter should appear in the Digi Intelligent Async Adapters category in Device Manager. Also, the ports should show up under Device Manager/Ports.
If the adapter was installed properly, the ports should then pass a loopback test. Instructions on how to run a loopback test can be found at the URL listed below.
Because HyperTerminal under Windows 95/98/ME will only show COM ports 1-4, Digi suggests using a different terminal emulation utility such as tty.exe. The tty.exe utility can be found at the URL listed below.
