The display of the Digi C/CON is showing EN and I am unable to use HyperTerminal to communicate to a port in Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0? The display of the Digi C/CON is showing EN and I am unable to use HyperTerminal to communicate to a port in Windows 2000 or Windows NT 4.0? Symptom: The display of the Digi C/CON concentrator is showing EN and I am unable to use HyperTerminal to communicate to a port.
Cause:The node number is not set correctly on the C/CON concentrator.
Solutions:Power the C/CON off and then on. Once the C/CON boots up and P1 appears on the LED display, select the right arrow. The display will show EN. If you select the left arrow, the current node number will be displayed, 1n to 8n. Use the left arrow button to cycle through the node numbers until the proper node number is displayed (1n for the first C/CON attached to a line at the host, 2n for the second C/CON on the same line, etc.) Press the right arrow to "lock in" the node number. Power cycle the C/CON again and the C/CON should reach a ready state and the display will show AC.
