  1. Netcfg fails due to TCL error.
  1. Netcfg fails due to TCL error.
Netcfg may fail as it is being entered, making a change and
selecting ok, or when netcfg is being exited.

This can occur for three reasons:

The Unixware 7.0.1 patches are not installed.

As of 5-18-99 three patches must be installed.

          The three patches are: ptf7053b, ptf7068b, ptf7096f.

These are patches to the OS itself and are not Digi files.

The patch files an be downloaded from the SCO website.

THE REVISION OF THESE PATCHES (signified by the
letter at the end of the file name) MAY CHANGE
OVER TIME. ALWAYS USE THE LATEST PATCH FROM THE
    		SCO WEBSITE.

Remove the Digi RAS driver prior to installing the patches.

            pkgrm digiras

Use pkgadd to install the patches.

The ptf7068b patch must be installed before ptf7096d.

Reboot the system after the patches have been installed
and reinstall the Digi RAS driver.

There are direct or ACU entries in the /etc/uucp/Devices file.

Edit Devices and remove or comment out all Direct and ACU
          entries.

Once netcfg completes, add or remove comments from entries.

The system is trying to configure PCI devices not actually
        installed.

          Change directories to /etc/inst/nd/mdi

Remove the -pci.bcfg file from any noninstalled device
          directory.
