Windows XP, Abit VT6X4 system board, AccelePort ISA type adapters appear to be incompatible. Windows XP, Abit VT6X4 system board, AccelePort ISA type adapters appear to be incompatible.

A customer has Windows Xp and an AccelePort Xe ISA adapter installed in an Abit VT6X4 system board. He can get the driver installed. However the ports will not function. This combination does not work. Windows 98 and Windows 2000 work with the AccelePort Xe adapter in the same system board. Only Windows Xp fails. There is no provision for reserving memory for ISA in the system board BIOS. PCI type adapters function fine
