PCU requires that lp and uucp services are installed on the system.

If you do not have lp and uucp installed, then PCU will not function.
If you have these services installed and you get a PCU error,
```
	cd /etc/digi/epca (or pcxx)
```
and remove the .conf and .prnt files for the affected device (XEM11A or CX11A are examples of device references).
If you are running a version earlier than SCO 5.0.4 then you may also need to:
Check to make sure that there is a symbolic link between
```
	/etc/inittab --> /var/opt/K/SCO/Unix/5.**/etc/inittab
```
if the symbolic link is gone, run
```
	custom-->software-->verify system-->
	broken missing symbolic links-->fix discrepancies
```
