How do I reset my Digi device server to factory defaults if I can't log into the unit?
How do I reset my Digi device server to factory defaults if I can't log into the unit? How do I reset my Digi device server to factory defaults if I can't log into the unit?

This hardware reset procedure is valid for the following devices:

  • Digi One SP
  • Digi One IA
  • Digi One IA RealPort
  • Digi One RealPort
  • Digi One TS
  • Digi PortServer TS 2/4

The unit should have a small recessed button which may or may not be marked "RESET". Power the unit off (unplug the power supply for the unit). With something that is not sharp, like a pen or bent paperclip or similar, press and hold down the reset button and power the unit back on (reconnect the power supply for the unit). The Link and Activity lights will flash once whether or not the unit is plugged into the network. Continue to hold the reset button down until you see the Power light flash in the pattern 1-5-1. This may take anywhere from ten to thirty seconds. At this point you can release the reset button. The Power light should then flash three times, go dark for five or ten seconds, and then come back on. Depending on which model you have, it will either be steady or it will flicker, indicating that the unit no longer has an IP address stored. You should now be able to configure your Digi device with the appropriate settings.
