Limitations of the trial version
---------------------------------------
This 30-day trial version of the product you downloaded is the fully
operational remote access component of Columbus Pro, called Columbus
Client.

In order to reduce download time this trial does NOT include the following
components of the standard Columbus Pro package:

       - G3 Fax application (with Fax printer driver)*             
       - Answering machine / Voice box application*         
       - Telephony application*                              
       - EFT File transfer application*                       
       - Address management*
    
       - Digi ISDN board drivers                              

       - DOS ODI Client v2.50

(*DataFire Micro, Pico, Basic only)

Requirements
-------------------
Columbus Client supports the following ISDN hardware:

 - DataFire Micro, DataFire Pico and DataFire Basic
   (including former ITK boards ITK Micro, ITK Pico and ITK Basic)
 - DataFire Go! Pro (ISDN, modem and GSM)
 - All 3rd party ISDN boards  with Windows 95/NT kernel mode CAPI 2.0 interface
 - All "AT command set" compatible modems which are available
   at a TAPI-accessible COM port


Installation and Setup
-----------------------------
To install the software extract the zip archive to a local or network drive
and start the installation process by double-clicking on 'SETUP.EXE', which
is located in the directory called 'Columbus Client 3.40 Trial\Disk1'.

Please read the documentation (see below) and the readme file 'README.TXT'
before installing the software!

The user manuals are available as Adobe Acrobat PDF files, located in the
directory 'Columbus Client 3.40 Trial'.

If you don't have the Adobe Acrobat Reader 2.1 or higher, visit Adobe's web
site at http://www.adobe.com to get a free copy. Using this piece of software
you may read the guide on screen or print a copy on your local printer.

The standard (non-trial) Columbus Pro package contains a fully licensed CD
(including the components which are not distributed with this trial) and an
optional ISDN board.
