Troubleshooting Tips
Use these troubleshooting tips if you should have problems with your driver installation:
- To access Windows troubleshooting assistance:
- From the Control Panel, choose System > Device Manager > Digi AccelePort
Serial Cards.
- Right-click on the adapter you wish to troubleshoot.
- Choose Properties. The adapter Properties page appears.
- Choose General to view the Device Status window. If this indicates that the device is not operating properly, choose Troubleshooting and follow the instructions to resolve any basic installation or configuration problems.
- Use the Digi Port Authority (DPA) for Windows application to test and
monitor all serial ports configured in your system. DPA displays specific
information for supported Digi adapters. You can download DPA from the Digi Support
Web site (http://supportold.digi.com). Use it to verify that the ports can
transmit and receive, either on a single port with a loopback adapter, or between two ports with a
null modem cable.
- Use the AccelePort Xp Diagnostics program to test adapter hardware functions if you suspect a hardware problem. You can download
the diagnostics program from the Digi Support Web site (http://supportold.digi.com). See the release notes for information about using the program.
