Adding the Link Service to the SNA Server Configuration

This topic describes how to add the Digi SDLC or X.25 link service to the SNA Server configuration.

Procedure

  1. You must access the SNA Manager to add a link service. From the Start menu, choose Programs > SNA Server > Manager.
  2. Choose Link Service.
  3. Right-click on Link Services, then choose  Insert > Link Service. A menu appears.
  4. From the list, choose either Digi SDLC Link Service or Digi X.25 Link Service, then choose Add.

Note: Do not choose any of the Digi SYNC/570 listings; these are old drivers from the Windows NT driver database.

  5. Choose a line to use, then choose OK.
  6. When the Link Service Configuration screen appears, choose all the options that you want applied to your configuration.

    Note: Always choose Constant RTS.

  7. Choose the Line Configuration tab; specify a line speed and clock source.
  8. If you are using an X.25 link service, choose the X.25 Settings tab, then configure X.25 parameters as required.
  9. Choose OK.
  10. If you want to add another link service, repeat these steps. Otherwise, choose Finish to exit.
