Installing the Driver: Downloaded

Use one of these procedures to install a downloaded Solaris device driver.

Procedure

1. Download the appropriate driver file.

2. If you have downloaded the driver file from a system other than the Solaris system, copy the file to the Solaris system.

3. Log onto the console as superuser (root).

4. Enter this command:

   pkgadd -d path-filename

   where path-filename is the path to and the name of the downloaded driver file.

5. Follow the prompts.
