Installing the Driver: Downloaded
Use this procedure to install a downloaded Digi SVR4 UNIX or SCO
UnixWare driver.
Procedure 1: Using pkgadd
- Download the appropriate driver file(s).
- Log in as root on the UNIX system.
- Enter this command at a root prompt:
pkgadd -d /path/filename
where path is the path to the
driver file and filename is the name of the driver
file.
- Follow the system prompts to install the driver.
Procedure 2: Using SCO Admin (SCO UnixWare)
Note: This procedure must be done in an X Window
environment.
- Download the appropriate driver file(s).
- Create installation diskettes from the downloaded image files.
This procedure is different, depending on the operating system you
use to download the files and create the diskettes:
- Log in as root on the UNIX system.
- Insert the newly-created driver diskette.
- Select <SCO Admin> in the window environment or type
scoadmin at a root prompt.
- Double-click the Software Management folder in the System
Administration window.
- Double-click <Application Installer>.
- Choose <Disk_A> from the Install from: menu.
- Choose <Update View>.
- Choose the Digi driver to install.
- Choose <Install>.

the driver.
