Configuring a Line: PPP Routing

Use this procedure to configure the SYNC/570 for PPP routing.

Procedure

  1. From the Internetworking Configuration menu, choose Network Interfaces.

    The Network Interfaces screen is displayed.

  2. Choose a SYNC/570 port and press Enter.

  3. Choose PPP Routing on the Select a Medium menu.

    The PPP Routing Network Interface Configuration screen appears.

  4. Specify parameters as required. Here are a few tips:

    Physical Type

    The appropriate physical layer interface

    Interface Speed

    The Value assigned by your network service provider
