Uninstalling the Driver

Use this procedure to uninstall a device driver and the MenuPort Interface (MPI) package.

Procedure

  1. Use MPI to uninstall the device driver:
    1. Log on to the system console as root.
    2. Run MPI by entering mpi at the system console.
    3. Choose Config > Remove.
    4. From the pick list, choose the driver you wish to remove. Repeat this step for all installed drivers.
  2. Use pkgrm to remove MPI:
    1. Log on to the system console as root.
    2. Enter the following command:

      pkgrm -n mpi

    3. When the new kernel has been built, shut down and restart the system to activate the new kernel.
