Installing the Driver: Downloaded

Use this procedure to install a downloaded Solaris device driver.

Procedure

1. Download the appropriate driver file(s).

2. If you have downloaded the driver file(s) from a system other than the Solaris system, copy the file(s) to the Solaris system.

3. Log onto the console as superuser (root).

4. Enter this command:

   pkgadd -d /path/filename

   where /path is the path to the driver file and filename is the name of the driver file.

5. Follow the prompts.
