Changing the PortAssist Manager UDP Port Number: Novell NetWare

Use this procedure to change the PortAssist Manager UDP port number for a specific communication agent in the Novell NetWare operating environment.

Procedure

  1. Modify the autoexec.ncf with the following. 

    2. load digipama [UDP Port_Number]

    where [UDP Port_Number] is the number of a communication agent's UDP port.

    Example: load digipama 2362

    If you want the UDP port automatically changed permanently, continue with the next step.

  2. Enter one of the following commands:

    3. load install (Novell NetWare 4.11 and later)
    load nwconfig (Novell NetWare 5.x)

  3. Choose NCF Options > Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF.

    The autoexec.ncf file is displayed.

  4. Navigate to the end of the file.
  5. Add the following line:

           load digipama

  6. Save the file and exit the editor.
  7. Restart the server.
  8. You must now reconfigure the PortAssist Manager server to use the same UDP port number to communicate with this specific communication agent. To do this, see Changing the PortAssist Manager Server UDP Port.
