Changing the PortAssist Manager UDP Port Number: SCO UnixWare

Use this procedure to change the PortAssist Manager UDP port number for a specific communication agent in the SCO UnixWare operating environment.

Procedure

  1. Open /etc/rc2.d/S95mkstz with vi (or your choice of text editor).
  2. You should see the following command: 

    /etc/inst/nd/mdi/dgdxb/agent &  

  3. Add the new port number just before the & in the command.

    4. Example:  /etc/inst/nd/mdi/dgdxb/agent 2362 & 

  4. Save the file and exit the editor. 
  5. You must now reconfigure the PortAssist Manager server to use the same UDP port number to communicate with this specific communication agent. To do this, see Changing the PortAssist Manager Server UDP Port.
