Installing the Driver

Use this procedure to install the device driver. Drivers may be delivered on a CD-ROM or downloaded from the Digi Support Web site (support.digi.com)

Procedure

1. Turn on the system and start Windows, which will automatically detect the adapter.

   The Found New Hardware Wizard appears.

2. Choose Next > Search.
3. Choose Specify a location > Next.

   A dialog box appears.

4. Enter the path to the driver, then choose OK.
5. Choose Next.

   If this is an unsigned driver, Windows displays a "Digital Signature Not Found" message, explaining that the driver is not signed. You may see several of these warnings during the installation.

6. Choose Yes to continue through each of the warnings. This ensures that the most current drivers are installed from the path you specified.
7. Follow the instructions to complete the installation.

   Refer to the on-line help system for assistance. When the installation is complete, the adapter is ready to use. There is no need to restart Windows unless you are notified to do so.
