Use this procedure to configure a SYNC 2000 frame relay connection for IP traffic.
If the Digi configuration utility is not displayed, type wancfg and press
ENTER.
If you have not done so already, configure general frame relay properties. See Configuring a Line: General Frame Relay.
Choose IFRE.
Choose the Local IP to Frame Relay tab. Do one of the following:
To configure an existing IP Address. select the address and choose Configure.
To remove an existing IP Address, select the address and choose Remove.
If you choose Add or Configure, the Local IP to Frame Relay Encapsulation screen appears. Enter the following information:

| DLCI | The Data Link Connection Identifier supplied by your network service provider. This identifies the virtual circuit used to exchange management information between the adapter and the network. (This field is preset when the Configure button is selected.) |
| IP Address | The address assigned to the network. (This field is preset when the Configure button is selected.) |
| Committed Information Rate (56000) | Use the default. |
| Minimum Information Rate (28000) | Use the default. |
| Excess Burst Rate | Enter the value supplied by your network provider or use the default. This sets the maximum rate in bits-per-second that you want transmitted for this virtual circuit. |
| Congestion Monitoring Period | Enter a rate, in seconds, to check for congestion. The default is 1. |
Choose OK.
Select Remote IP to Frame.
To remove an existing IP Address, select the address, and then click on the Remove button.
If you choose Add or Configure, the Local IP to Frame Relay Encapsulation screen appears. Enter the following information:

Choose OK.
When you complete configuration, save it by choosing File > Save Changes > Exit.
